Hola! wow i miss posting...! I've been playing a role of a tourist guide lately, since the Navy brothers touched down for the holidays. They wanted to do some sight seeing in the city and so to main attractions we go... there's no better place but to head out to the wharf, golden gate, lombard, palace of fine arts, and etc!!!

Had my very first Elote (Mexican corn in the cob)...it was reaally good! The guy that roams around my neighborhood pushes a cart and sells all sorts of Mexican snacks. I was hesitant to buy before, just cause i wasn't sure what it is. But my curiosity finally reached it's point...and so i bought one today ;p Anyway, it brought me good memories of when I was a kid that in the Philippines there's so many street vendors and all sorts of food to snack on. Two things that I miss the most are these two (kutsinta & puto bumbong) especially at this time of the year. I'm salivating right now.

Instead of being on the slope and enjoying the snow, we went to the city and enjoyed the lovely rainy saturday afternoon. The traffic heading to north was not looking too good, so we cancelled our plan to snowboard. But hey...I was able to enjoy my cup of blue bottle at the ferry building and clam chowder from Woodhouse. Passing by Castro, we saw a bunch of people dressed as Santa Claus!!! they were paarrtyin' outside of this lounge, drinking and passing out candy canes, i wanted to join in, but i guess you have to dress up...oh well!

46 degrees

Photobucket

Although, it was 46 degrees freezing on a saturday night in the Bay Area, it did not stop me to wear my short shorts...geez! it does take a lot of effort to be a girl!!! Upon arriving in to this new spot in the city: lot46, I was pleased by the set up and the location. It was definitely another fun night out and I'm seriously damaging my liver that night...nuvo and endless hurricanes kept going my way! it sure kept my ass warm that night..lol!

My Christmas Ornaments!

Our Christmas tree is finally up (i wish it was the real one), but no ornaments whatsoever! My mom and I attempted to decorate our tree several years ago, but somehow it did not pass my dad's standard for styling...HA! So now it's normally him that does all the decorations, he does get very creative and spends hours working.
Anyway, just the thought of not having ornaments in our tree made me realize how much ornaments I have, in which i consider my accessories...ahhaha! i feel like wearing all of them at once. i love the bling and the colors.

The Bay Area definitely has the most unpredictable weather! Winter has finally come and it brought 70 degree warm temperature on a Sunday afternoon. With the weather being beautiful, we head out to Bi-Rite creamery, what's my verdict? well, it was good...definitely has different flavors compare to other ice cream parlors out there, (Salty Caramel 2-thumbs up!) but I think i'll still go to Mitchell's it's Bay Area's famous ice cream shop.
Since this ice cream place is right across from Dolores Park, we relaxed and watched the rest of the folks that were bbq'n and smokin' them lalala...I wasn't sure what I wanted to wear that day because weather can change in a blink of an eye..HA! so I wore my house dress and in case it gets a little chilly outside my toes will be snugged up in my ugg boots! Oh and here's Candy again, she had her very own cup of ice cream as well.

waited an hour to see an adviser today in school, such a bomber that after finally speaking with one that i had to see another adviser...ahh this last few weeks of school is stressful indeed! on a good note, i found out that i need 19 more units to get the heck out!
anyway, it's been really cold out here in the bay and this furry coat is just perfect, it feels as if i'm tucked into my bed..lol! here's a peek of my little getaway place (homeroom). my room seems to be warm all year long, i'm not sure why? maybe i have so much stuff in this four wall room...and that is why my old-fashioned antique looking fan is taking a peek in my photo...works like a champ!
i can never find myself using a table to work on school stuff when i'm at home...the floor or my bed seems to be the spot to do such school work. i went to ross recently and purchased this zebra bed lounge for $12, brookstone ones were too pricey but this works so well. my good old personal fridge in the room is a savior for one of those lazy nights, i dread walking to the kitchen just to grab a glass of water...and it serves well to chill a two buck chuck white wines...lol! though i am a fan of reds, no chillin' necessary.

excuse my photobooth pics, silly wigs was part of the pic (taken @ my old work)...
and yesss...i heart N.Y. & Hawaii!

what a bandit attire did i have yesterday?! haha..anyway we had lunch at Crawdaddy..a pound of mild shrimp for moi and some gumbo-DELICIOUS! behind this resto was Wal Mart and yess this place is horrible if you know the inside scoop, but as much as it is bad, you gots' to go cause the prices are unbeatable. fooled around in the snack aisles with the bf. HA!

went to a ski & snowboarding convention down south in San Jo you know! SKIDAZZLE was a huge convention that had indoor skiing lessons and rock climbing as well (hmm...not sure why?) along with the purchase of our tickets comes a free lift ticket to selected parks, pretty awesome aye? will probably head north this time around for a different scenery. Although, no purchases were made...bf was unsuccessful finding a board and i'm still content with what i have since i love my board so much...we went home with free lift tickets, definitely a plus.

S.F. is definitely filled with so much hidden treasures...and so rich in the Art culture.
Had dinner at Tokyo Go Go in the Mission last night and as me and the bf are finishing off our hand rolls...creme brulle came into mind for dessert. As an avid yelper, i have read good reviews about the Creme Brulle cart that roams around the Mission and to locate him is via TWITTER...neat aye? So we finally found this mysterious chef at Fabric8 an art gallery. I was indeed fascinated with the art work in this built in house gallery and yess the bathroom is absolutely amazing, hence the photos above had to be taken.
Mission District is known for it's amazing murals and it's actually neat to see one of these murals as it tells stories and social issues from the past and today. I need to come back during the day and visit Balmy Street, it's where some of the famous murals are e.g. Diego Rivera's work. FYI there's actually a mural tour available, for there are at least 600 murals in the city...why i know so much? hahha i had to do a paper for school about it, but hey it's actually interesting.
Arrribbaaa!!!
