Leng Loi

A trip to Stockton & Jackson any guesses?
Yep! a random trip to chinatown before the big parade ;)
The idea of just driving in the narrow streets of chinatown is just gaga. I did about 10-15 rounds around 2 blocks, believe me I almost got a $70 dollar ticket from a cop riding his mountain bike. Don't ask me why? i have road rage by the way and not a fan of driving.
But to get my mom's ground pork for a well discounted price by mentioning "big mama" who is my grandma that is a local buyer, kinda like "vip"...didn't know that existed on buying
ground pork.

Finally, i found a perfect parking! Right across the fortune cookie factory ;)

Wow! This man looks like the Mayor of chinatown!!!

Is that a papaya she's holding and a banana peel?

Yummy fruity fruits!

i'm probably not coming back for a few months, driving is just ridiculous. But enjoyed the scenery of sf's finest chinatown.

celebration time come on'

Happy Birthday to me! well actually it was 5 days ago, such an old fart now...time goes by like a "hot cheetos" hehe okay that didn't make any sense, i'm just typing what's on my mind and i want some hot cheetos. Well it kinda resembles the hotness of life (time-speed, is what i meant), i mean how's life going to create exciting momentum without no spice into it. Blaahh...blaah..i'm just exhausted talking about non-sense, now if you find it to be interesting well "hellO to ya"!

Here's me and my snowboard "punch" ya it has a name-it says on the board. Along with my colorful outfit ;) Joe had to buy me goggles that day, it was snowing like there's no tomorrow that's why and geeeez it was not playing.

Peace sign is the sign of peace! and that's all i wanted that day ;)
Here's me at bubble lounge holding a glass of bubbly.
Look soo good & yummy...well they were and we cleaned that platter in a quickness.

Gung Hay Fat Choy

to follow up on my "denied" blog- well well well...i thought that this year started out in the wrong foot. well i read a horoscope for the chinese new year and it gave me another alternative overview for this year. i'm not chinese but i'll consider this horoscope...oh what the heck it's chinese new year today!!! who wants tikoy? hehehe.
Ox na Ox

here's what it says for year of the Rats:
RAT
Zodiac’s Nature:
Elegant by nature. Clever, intelligent, ambitious, determined, seductive, pleasant, playful, generous, alert, suspicious and resourceful. Loves intrigues, riddles and games. Connoisseurs of art. Good business acumen.
Cannot resist bargains. A true opportunist just to reach their target.

Rats are compatible with the Ox this year, so things will be quite smooth throughout the year. They can consider expanding their business. On the other hand, due to the antagonistic stars falling under the sign, they might face some small obstacles and problems. It is important that they have to keep quiet, and mind their own business; otherwise they will be isolated. This will be a profitable year for Rats. The more they work, the more successful they will be. They must watch out for business traps and should save money for the rainy days. They can consider putting their money in a stable investment, or they can consider buying property this year. This is a romantic year for Rats. They will have a very good chance of meeting friends or their dream lover; so single Rats should pay special attention to the people around them. If they already have a partner, they should consider to get married within the year. Married Rats should avoid indulging in sensual pleasures and keep away from temptation. They won’t have any major problems in health this year. Of course minor sickness cannot be avoided. It is important that they learn to relax more, do more exercise and be mindful of their diet.

open

so joe decided to buy me a bonnet at sports authority, it was an impulse buy and so he just grabbed a bonnet that had some kind of green to match my jacket. following day i decided i don't really like it, even if the lady at the store said "it's really me" what the heck does that mean anyway? anyway, i told him that i want his instead and that it looks better on me. he refused to give it to me, what an ass! here's a pic below of the bonnet he bought, which is history!
that sunday night, the cousins decided to do some grillin' at joe's garage, which turned out to be sooO fun. the burgers were tasty and those kabob were awesome...thanks to chef heather ;)
after the late night grillin' we all decided to drive to vacaville the next morning to do some damage. i returned the bonnet at the vacaville store and joe finally decided to give me his and he got a new one. hahha..i told him "it's my birthday" hehehe! he tried to convinced me to get a different one and seriously with his efforts of persuading me made me laugh soo hard. he would make this funny commentary noise "ooohhh that sh*t looks sickk" didn't work on me cause i know that he's hella making it up.

we catched traffic on the way home and everyone was exhausted. i felt bad for joe cause he had to drive. anyway he made sure he kept himself awake and entertained as well. the pic below will show you how and maybe this is his little revenge, since i got his bonnet.

thank god there was no fly ;)

faded jeans

"sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams"~my blue faded ripped jeans reminds me of this phrase in corrine bailey's song (put your records on). i love love this jeans (taverniti), it's about 3 years old. I remember purchasing it on nob hill for the warehouse jean sale. Those were the days when i was totally into buying signature jeans and now those days are just good ol' memories ;)
i decided to write some good stuff about my fave jeans before it actually retires on me and be ripped all the way through.

this pair of jeans definitely sets a rugged, relaxed, hippie, effortless statement!!!

waiting outside the women's fitting room. mum trying on a dress.
what a girl to do but take pics with her iphone ;)

DENIED

starting this new year with some financial crisis. not only i but the rest of the economy. bad news was i didn't get financial aid for state. second bad news i'm laid off again and now back on edd. spring semester is in 2 weeks and damn i need to buy books and etc.
i wish i was born rich & famous.

as i watched bedtime stories last night, i wish i can tell stories that can make the story come to life and make it happen the following day. HA! a red ferrari for freeeee!!!

But the bedtime stories in the movie never had a happy ending till the end of the movie, so for the mean time this story is not going to end happy.
see pic below...not a successful scope for i was denied!
can't wait for my happy ending.

guilty pleasures

8 hours of saying "hi there" gets really tiring and annoying!
It's my friday today and a two days of not worrying of acknowledging a guest is freedom!
All i've been thinking the whole day is what i can reward myself when i get home from work, so i figured i got a bottle of pinot-stole it from joe's fridge...not quite cause i purchased it and i had a bag of cheetos, left over chocolate cake..."voila" guilty pleasures of mine. I was so excited to go home and treat myself out to a little some some.!!! I'm not an alcy just a fan of having a good night sleep ;)

in my bed watching late night re-runs of sex and the city!
what a perfect night to relax!

tote

Wow! i haven't blog for a while...more like last year...christmas was great...had good food with the family at South Park. New Years was awesome..had to work though and got off an hour before the countdown, but other than that i was up till 6 in the morning! YAY! for 09.

latest purchased for this year is a "plastic bag" doesn't sound very exciting, but it got me excited when i purchased it. It's so cool...i can definitely use this bag when it rains "waterproof & stain free" heck yah!

$14.99 good deal for the new year!

Mission Accomplished

I finally finished my christmas shopping today. Thank god i'm off this whole week and was able to beat the rush. Forget the traffic, lining up and looking for parking...aaargghh!

Ever since the CDG event @ H&M me and my cousin only wanted the polka dot scarf. I told her that i will keep an eye out to find a replica. Walking up on Powell as i pass by this sf souvenir store, i spotted a scarf hanging outside of this store as if it was calling me and luring me to go and grab it...hahhaha...i'm exaggerating! I can't believe that i found a replica, i was so excited! I also can't believe that i tried to bargain with this old lady for 2 for $20, it only cost $14.99 each, so she gave it to me for $12--CDG actually cost $50.00-and i would actually pay for that price. HA! i'm suchhhaaaa...nah!

This is the replica-fyi 100% Pashmina

Here's Kate and the scarf

Here's a model with the scarf
Yay! tomorrow is christmas eve and that's when we celebrate christmas. I'm so excited and can't wait to party with the family.

quickpod

When i read my cousins blog about "cam whore" not long ago and saw the quickpod, I literally opened up a new window and browsed where I can purchase that quickpod. I looked at some websites and most were sold out or it cost $40- finally ebay came into mind and "voila" $19.99 no tax and free shipping. I click, click and click and bought it on the spot with no hesitation! An impulse buy, I should say. Here's some of my quick pod check and first time to use it. Seriously it might take a lot of guts to pull out this pod, people might "stop & stare" ha!-the outcome though is beaauutifullll!

12.18.2008

Mama's

Yummy/delicious breakfast can last me a whole entire day, no lunch necessary.
This morning's breakfast was fantastic. I finally went to "mama's" at north beach, which is one of those hole in the wall places in s.f.
i will definitely return to try the other dishes. one thing about this place is that you order first and pay (cash only) at the register and they will sit you. but anyway that's probably one of their strategies to get the service to keep on moving due to long waits.

12.16.2008

booties

I'm so inlove with booties...they make your legs look slender and longer. The fact that i'm only 5ft & yess 1 inches tall this is "genius".

Here are some of my fave so far for the past few hours being bored at work.

My latest purchase CALYPSO.

SoO Gladi.....ator!

Which "SCALLOP" are you? guess which one is a knocked off?

Baker's comin' up and not a bad replica.

love the velcro straps!

Louboutini- nuff said!

I'll settle for this one for now.

I like how the studs (or whatever that is..) look like construction nails.

this one is just HOT!
The recent purchase is excellent, it's comfortable and lovely suede makes it even more comfortable. No rainy days for them though for it might fade. For $50 what a deal..can't beat that.

the City

“The Hills” spinoff series "The City" starring Whitney Port is scheduled to air the first quarter of 2009 on MTV.

---How i LOVE her job! it's perfect e.g. fantastic lifestyle w/celebs, awesome clothes, great pay & hott guys-- oh how i WISH!!!

She's totally on top of her game and oh how i wish to be on top of mine.

12.10.2008

cowinkidinkie?!?

driving to school this morning i was listening to the radio and was playing "viva la vida" by Coldplay..and so i turned that up and got me in the mood of going to class! HA! anyway when the song was over they announced that this might of been a copyright from a guitarist Joe Satriani in his composition of "If I Could Fly" but Coldplay refuted Joe Satriani's claim and that this is a coincidence... Well geeeez! they are now i believe is a lawsuit. If anything Coldplay's version rocks!!!

dress up

i love dressing up and i have fun and cute clothes that i don't seem to wear unless there's an occasion. i feel that the only time i can go all out or go beyond what's in fashion is if there's a special event or if it's freakin' halloween?! so anyway to stop this madness of dressing up, my friend had an idea of having a karaoke night at joe's house and to add to that i suggested that we should all dress up as "harajuku girls" a street fashion in Japan. Not everyone was up for it but my friend nik. well anyway here are some of my inspirations when i put up my lil' harajuku fashion. by the way there are names of different styles in the streets of harajuku. as for my attire i was "gothic lolita or goth loli" there's also "super kawaii-means cute" there's "cosplay-means costume play" and there's the "ganguro-means super tanned with white eyeshadow" and etc...

this picture below inspired me to be a lil more of street chic, not over the top "super goth" kind of thing.

And this photo below is my make up inspiration ;)

photo above is a "gothic lolita" in the streets of Japan.

Gwen and her hollerback girls--going for the goth look!!!

taking hella long

delayed for 8 hours for a Vegas trip...what else can you do but to entertain yourself!
Meet Joe...he thought that i was taking a picture of him, but instead it was a video.
hear him say "are you taking a picture or what "dude", taking hella long" is the funniest and the highlight of this whole trip. this video still cracks me up!
Please ignore my annoying laugh...i couldn't help myself!

small but terrible

"It was all Pacquiao, who put on one of the most impressive displays I've seen in a long time. Pacquiao's hand and foot speed were far too much for De La Hoya, as Pacquiao was consistently able to dart in, nail De La Hoya seemingly at will, and retreat before De La Hoya could catch up with him. And it was Pacquiao, not the taller (but hardly any heavier, surprisingly) De La Hoya, whose punches were more damaging. Pacquiao's smart, disciplined performance was a masterpiece of controlled fury."
proud to be filipino!!!
"Pacquiao won every round, and the HBO team gave him one by two points even though De La Hoya never quite went down. De La Hoya's corner threw in the towel after the eighth, as their fighter was taking serious punishment and it was clear that he had no chance to catch up with Pacquiao, or hurt him if he did."
everyone at home...was screaming and at the same time..praying for pacman!--fun night!!!
