SPORK

Everytime i dine around the mission in sf, i always pass by this bright, vibrant sign SPORK..and was always curious if their any good?! As a yelper..there were good reviews about this place and so the bf and i decided to dine. WHY Spork? well KFC was actually the one that introduced America to this spoon/fork utensil. So this resto is basically using this namesake, for their american style of fast food, however, this place is aiming for the slow food. Why slow food? well to enjoy their dishes and to create this interesting idea of not rushing to eat a good plate. 

Sad part of our dinner was that i was visited by unexpected cold, which made my taste bud disappear. I was only able to taste our appetizer-and being able to taste appetizer shows if the place is any good, well as it turned out their poke was fantastic and their bread too!

CRAWDADDY/PINKBERRY NIGHT

Went on a journey to Story Road in San Jose for some CRAWDADDY...

This place was off the hook! good crawfish and shrimp ;) would definitely go back soon!

Unfortunately, i wasn't able to take a photo of our food...it's because i was too hungry and seriously my hands were soaked into the sauce of the crawfish and shrimp. It was a messy messy... messy... dinner and sweaty to others as well...meaning...they were soo freakin' spicy and so other's were sweating continuously!!! i didn't want ya'll to see that!

Then off for some dessert... PINKBERRY at Santana Row! The yogurt here is quite different compare to the other yogurt spots i've been to. Has anyone tasted YAKULT before? the taste are very similar...brings back my yakult days..LOL!

 

GOING GREEN

Walkinginto Westfield shopping center's restroom near the foodcourt today, i've noticed how they are "GOING GREEN". Yep! they are now using a  hand drier and paper towels are now history! Well it's not an ordinary hand drier, it's sophisticated with a sleek style. Ohhh..yes they are so powerful.

Well i'm that type of person who always brings a hand sanitizer..everywhere i go! seriously though, my hands feels so sticky and filthy if i don't wash them.

Filipino's in the Outfield

Sad to say i'm not a big fan of any sport...snowboarding is probably the only sport i enjoy. But anyway SF was trying to be cute with the weather for the past 3 days...it was way too hot and lovin' the cuteness ;) It was a perfect night too to watch the GIANTS play in the outfield..they won baby! yay! even though i wasn't sure what happened most of the game. We got good seats and was pretty darn close to the field, being close to the field made me realized that the field is not that big. 

It felt like one of those "hot summer nights"

CAKE:

i've never noticed this before but i love cake! i remember way back that i was craving for a chocolate cake and so joe & i went on a hunt..fyi- it was late night and so basically most bakeshops were closed. Good thing that the safeway near us were open, really though... their cakes are really good and so as costco cakes-good buys for cheap cakes!

anyway, today i craved for some...i really really really, no...really l.o.v.e. cake + cupcakes! so i decided to bake a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese whipped on top.

EGG:

a couple of days ago when i happened to walk down the stairs at my grandma's house at south park, i saw an egg on the neighbors' doorstep...i was like "is that real" and believe it or not, the mother pigeon made a nest for her egg to be indoors...really?! they fly inside to the doorstep from time to time to check on their egg....now that's l.o.v.e! 

i've never encountered anything like this, it's really amazing how pigeons these days are becoming very modern...it's a like a condo for them..for FREEE! oh by the way..don't ask why there's a dorito chip next to the nest..."modern" keep that in mind...hahhahaha lol! i'm kidding...but yea..i find it really cute ;)

CREPE:

have you ever had a crepe? i mean a real french crepe? no japantown or asian crepes? well i'm such a big fan of crepes..their one of the best desserts that is definitely gooood! i love how the crepes atCAFE GRILLADESin Bayhill is so tasty and the wrapper is soft and fresh. I really don't like how the Sophie ones in j-town are shaped in a cone and the wrapper is crunchy like a fortune cookie...not exciting, well that's just my opinion and of course what i prefer for my crepe.

SCENT:

i finally used apps giftcard from sephora and purchased a perfume. YAY! i was looking for my dior addict, which i ran out of already and so a new bottle would be handy. But they didn't have it at the counter, so i did a little smelling testing and after a spray here and there, i found this scent that is sweet and not overwhelming smell Hanae Mori so far, so good!

LIME part III

The reunion with the fam continues... UHHMM, uhh, gosh man! My family is the best! So lucky that they're around. Last Saturday I decided to take them to L!me to experience this lively lounge on Castro. As for ya'll know this is my third time blogging about L!me. You just have to deal with it... Oops! What I meant was, you have to go there, its a must when youre in the city. Everyone enjoyed the food, the vibe, the music, AND the aaaaalcohol. After brunch we head over to South Park and from there my wild self got loose from the monkey bars to the swing i morphed into a maniac. Who knows what that champagne does to you?!! Then later on we head over to downtown, union square and had MELT gelato ice cream. Bonding time is Family time! :)

Treats for Freaks

So in the beginning of my spring semester, my professor mentioned that we will be having a major project [Latexhibition]?! Yep...rubber project indeed. In this case it was supposed to be a group project, but i've decided to just do it on my own just cause its a hassle to meet up with groups and with my time... my time is precious. HAHA. lol! Well, it took a lot of guts for me to ask for condoms my bf suggested to go to the health center since they give out condoms for free. So I went and had to lie about my age, they didnt give me a lot so i had to do another round and came back in a couple of hours and this time i had my little cousin get it for me. She had to lie about her age too because she's thirteen. Anyway, not a good sample am i to ask a little girl for condoms. So after that i had to come up with an idea to what kind of figure i should make, i thought of making a purse, a hat, shoes, & etc.. But turns out i decided to make a flower vase. However, when i finished it didnt turn out to be a flower vase more like a candy treat. And so i came to this title; "Treats for Freaks."

Would You Like A Cup of Tea?

Bonding Time!
twas' a beautiful friday... and to me and my bro going out to the city on a sunny day is perfect day to walk around. After walking a couple blocks, we decided to get something to bite that's light, just cause were having dinner in a couple of hours. So we head to Samovar it's a tea lounge on the Yerba Buena Gardens,Mission & 4th street. This place is such a relaxing spot to chill, definitely gonna come back and bring the bf. Anyway, bonding with the bro is always fun...;)

What an a ugly gloomy day it was yesterday...
thank god the sunshine came to spare a short moment for me to wear this sweater dress, thanks to this wow-inspiring fashion icon...she got me wearing this dress that i've been having and not yet worn, best part is this dress was $10..bargain it is!

One Happy Camper

Getting in touch with nature is absolutely a breath taking experience. Last weekend the family head over to Felton to go camping and boy was it fun!!! The last time we went camping was probably more than six years ago. The scenery at the campground we stayed was beautiful...

We stayed in Henry Cowell State Park, it's about an hour and 20 min from the city.

The cousins decided to hike one of the trails and it took us about an hour or so...I've never hiked in the redwoods before, as of matter of fact i've never hiked in my whole entire life, but it was definitely an experience to remember.



Which way is to San Jose? lol!

Found a railroad track bridge...pretty amazing..reminded me of old time movies i used to watch..





After the hike, i sure need to sit my behind down under my umbrella..eh..eh...eh!!!


I can't wait for summer to arrive so i can go camping with much warmer weather ;)
