feelin'beachy

SF weather lately: Beautiful.

Therefore a short walk on Ocean Beach and a foot long subway sandwich for our friday night drive-in dinner. Watched the sunset as we sipped on our Merlot...an inexpensive alternative of a wine and dine dinner, your big bonus is the breathtaking view of the sunset= no tip necessary! lol
But you can take my tip and do the same with your special someone...
Cheers!

Tried to keep my hair in one place but the wind seemed to enjoy making every strand tangled.
It's funny how in August were already making spirits bright. So not planned!
Sweaters: American Apparel (his) Uniqlo (moi)

Sunday Funday: Crissy Fields, Marina District.

Brought the furriest pom for a stroll in the beach and she loved it!
It was fun day for everyone and so a mixture of groups were present: families, friends, couples and etc.
It's definitely one of the spot in SF that's full of activities and that's weather permitting of course.
Today: volleyball, biking, swimming, wind surfing, flying kites, picnicking and whole lot's more!

NewBuysToAccessorize

Purchasing an item that is not necessary tends to become necessary, most especially when the price label is glory to your eyes. Anyways Ladies, everything that we want is necessary...I mean come on who goes out of their doorstep un-accessorized there must be at least a piece or two that comes along your sexy body...lol!
So as you all probably know or perhaps not know...the Topshop/Topman store sells highly good fashion forward styles, yet some quality of their clothing could be bought in Forever21 in an equally similar styles but ten times cheaper. However, their jewelry section I give a plus +++ that is because it's done so well and definitely not a one time use such as what you could find in Forever21.  Prices could be a shockerrrR and may cause a huge damage to your wallet...I mean it's not a silver necklace or earrings from Tiffany's.
even though the prices are a bit harsh on your wallet, the trend and styles of their clothing are amazingly beautiful and definitely a head turner!

Guess who got lucky? I admit I'm a sucker for least expensive items and discounted prices.

purchased in Broadway & Broome NYC. By the way their sales are not bad and so a purchased has been made!
Another item that I found was this black leather clutch, which reminded me of the
Prada Bow Clutch that came out last year.

Not as fancy as the Prada but will do.

LoLa- marcjacobs

Lola: "Sparkling Fruitiness-pink peppercorn, pear and ruby red grapefruit"- click here

Exclusively @ Bloomingdales [U.S] & Harvey Nichols [U.K]- $65-$85.

Two years ago Marc Jacobs introduced the "oh so wonderful sweet scent: DAISY"  and now comes along a more sensual scent that is more bolder, which could be called the older sister of of our sweet ol' Daisy.
The Lola is exclusively sold in Bloomingdales, it came out first week of August.
I now own both and I absolutely love both scents, but Daisy still wins with 2.5 points. lol!

MJ is very creative with the  bottle cap!!!

For the love of scent: Part II

As I was doing my daily reads on one my fave blogs to read (chuvaness...) I was intrigued by who is Frederic Malle well he just happened to be a perfume expert that seems to know what the real deal is when it comes to scent. After watching a short clip on youtube, he made me realize the cheap scents that's out on the market are somewhat like pirated scent...is there such a thing? what he meant are those celebrity endorsers who's selling fragrances for the moola.! gosh darn it...what i wear now are: Mademoiselle, Daisy, True Religion, Hanae Mori, Jo Malone...and some Paris & Juicy Couture for a room spray.

One scent that i find very unique is my Jo Malone, I just love how it stays on my skin for hours and it's very refreshing.

-Oh by the way, we all know that perfume bottles need to be place in cooler temperature, but one great idea i got from Frederic Malle is to store them in a fridge (remember it's like a bottle of wine). It helps maintain the natural smell of the perfume...I shall try it! pronto!!!

Photobucket

i love how he seemed to be annoyed about the whole celebrity issue...you could tell that he's so passionate about his works!
i wanna smell his creations...to Barney's I go!

Bon Appetit

So my good friend Candice got free tickets to watch Julie & Julia at the Metreon for a special premiere, the movie which will be hitting the theaters August 7, 2009.

It's a wednesday, hump day that is...had no plans so why not it's free.

It's a two true stories of Julia Child who's an American chef that introduced the French cuisine to the "servantless Americans". lol! thought that was a funny script from the movie. And Julie Powell who's an American author that worked in the Lower Manhattan in a Development Corp.

By the way Julie Powell was discovered through her blog JULIEPOWELL

It was an interesting movie~ two hours long.

It's been a while since I did a road trip, it's definitely one of those unforgettable experience...better yet road trips are the one that you can recall later on and discuss things with your (road-trippers) about something really funny, random, weird, crazy (acts) memories in the making!

I'm a big girl now!

It's exactly five months since I saw my god daughter...she's all grown up. Me and my good friend Candice set up a breakfast date at Andersen Bakery a few days ago, i remember those days when we used to have lunch dates when she was still bearing her baby girl. Now she's part of our breakfast/brunch/lunch dates.

Meet Kalleah!
she's One year old.

She's so witty...here she plays and aims a paper ball to be thrown at her mommy's face!
Her laughter is a killer, its full of joy & seriously loud!

later on that day...Kalleah went on a shopping spree at ZARA lucky her!

South of Market

South of Market has changed for the better and for those who have witnessed these changes, such as moi who basically lived half my life in this oh so called modernized/trendy district is now the IT place to chill and hang out. I'm glad there's a place where people can enjoy the great outdoors and at the same time find a hole in the wall places for cheap bites.

Went to B bar to meet up with the ladies who I have not seen in a while. Had a few drinks and bar appetizers, too bad we missed happy hour. I love the glass wall that surrounded the bar, which then gives you an amazing view of the Yerba Buena Gardens and the city lights, so chic! Reasonable price for cocktail drinks + variety of cheese and a glass of ceviche with potato chips were really good.

Photobucket

We then head out to Rosewood cool spot in telegraph hill.

Another place I visited this weekend is the The Butler & The Chef
again a cute little bistro hidden in the circle of South Park. I went here for brunch with the bf, always passed by this
cute yellow bistro, but never had the chance to dine, so finally the warm weather brought us to this place.

Revisited

Revisited the square...and for some weird reason had the guts to even enter the GoyardMe and Joe just wanted to check it out...well actually I dragged him to go in, not that I have plans on purchasing one but maybe a hint/clue to the purchaser. LOL! I'm bad...very bad!-stop it.

After revisiting, I was able to bring back and restore the beauty of SF in my memory, it's such a chill place, less people and tall huge buildings~it's quite hilly though! However, beware of the unpleasant smell of the sidewalks it totally ruins everything...I mean while sipping on some fruity drink and the smell of urine comes creeping in...disasterrr!

Cherry Cherry Boom Boom

So it's thursday, my mom told me last night that I need to wake up early to do some cherry picking...hmm..sounds fun! From what I remember not long ago, I could hardly squeeze any last minute plans due to work & school and now with so much free time, I was like "sure". It feels good to say "yes" to last minute plans-its' so exciting, but at the same time...am so bummed being low in the moola. But then again in a good note, nothing beats good company and the adventure that follows ;)

So this morning we headed out to Rockville, Suisun City Ca. We visited the
99 Cherry Orchard the entrance fee only cost $3.50 plus $1.50 a pound for the cherries, which is not a bad deal it's actually an awesome deal. Best part is it's only 45 minute drive from the bay.

The weather was really nice, it was 90 degrees! goodness...after a while a slight headache rushed ;(

Fond of Headbands...

I must say, I always have something to put on my head, it could be my hats, bonnets, clips or a headband. It's like my  "cherry on top" which completes ones wardrobe.

I find the works ofJennifer Behr to be the cherry on top for an absolute darling outfit.
