SPOTTED...the roq in LA

Hey fellow bloggers! m.roq here...took a quick trip to SoCal for the holiday and it wasn't so bad driving down south. It's been a while since I did a road trip, it's definitely one of those unforgettable experience...better yet road trips are the one that you can recall later on and discuss things with your (road-trippers) about something really funny, random, weird, crazy (acts) memories in the making!

I'm a big girl now!

It's exactly five months since I saw my god daughter...she's all grown up. Me and my good friend Candice set up a breakfast date at Andersen Bakery a few days ago, i remember those days when we used to have lunch dates when she was still bearing her baby girl. Now she's part of our breakfast/brunch/lunch dates.

Meet Kalleah!
she's One year old.

She's so witty...here she plays and aims a paper ball to be thrown at her mommy's face!
Her laughter is a killer, its full of joy & seriously loud!

later on that day...Kalleah went on a shopping spree at ZARA lucky her!

South of Market

South of Market has changed for the better and for those who have witnessed these changes, such as moi who basically lived half my life in this oh so called modernized/trendy district is now the IT place to chill and hang out. I'm glad there's a place where people can enjoy the great outdoors and at the same time find a hole in the wall places for cheap bites.

Went to B bar to meet up with the ladies who I have not seen in a while. Had a few drinks and bar appetizers, too bad we missed happy hour. I love the glass wall that surrounded the bar, which then gives you an amazing view of the Yerba Buena Gardens and the city lights, so chic! Reasonable price for cocktail drinks + variety of cheese and a glass of ceviche with potato chips were really good.

We then head out to Rosewood cool spot in telegraph hill.

Another place I visited this weekend is the The Butler & The Chef
again a cute little bistro hidden in the circle of South Park. I went here for brunch with the bf, always passed by this
cute yellow bistro, but never had the chance to dine, so finally the warm weather brought us to this place.

Revisited

Revisited the square...and for some weird reason had the guts to even enter the GoyardMe and Joe just wanted to check it out...well actually I dragged him to go in, not that I have plans on purchasing one but maybe a hint/clue to the purchaser. LOL! I'm bad...very bad!-stop it.

After revisiting, I was able to bring back and restore the beauty of SF in my memory, it's such a chill place, less people and tall huge buildings~it's quite hilly though! However, beware of the unpleasant smell of the sidewalks it totally ruins everything...I mean while sipping on some fruity drink and the smell of urine comes creeping in...disasterrr!

Cherry Cherry Boom Boom

So it's thursday, my mom told me last night that I need to wake up early to do some cherry picking...hmm..sounds fun! From what I remember not long ago, I could hardly squeeze any last minute plans due to work & school and now with so much free time, I was like "sure". It feels good to say "yes" to last minute plans-its' so exciting, but at the same time...am so bummed being low in the moola. But then again in a good note, nothing beats good company and the adventure that follows ;)

So this morning we headed out to Rockville, Suisun City Ca. We visited the
99 Cherry Orchard the entrance fee only cost $3.50 plus $1.50 a pound for the cherries, which is not a bad deal it's actually an awesome deal. Best part is it's only 45 minute drive from the bay.

The weather was really nice, it was 90 degrees! goodness...after a while a slight headache rushed ;(

Jennifer Behr

Fond of Headbands...

I must say, I always have something to put on my head, it could be my hats, bonnets, clips or a headband. It's like my  "cherry on top" which completes ones wardrobe.

I find the works ofJennifer Behr to be the cherry on top for an absolute darling outfit.

Here are some of her collections:

Party Of Four

My 100th Post!

I've been M.I.A with these ladies and so last night I finally caught up with a bunch of such...We then head out to XYZ an adjacent fine dining of the W on third street. Dine About is still going on and so we took advantage of dining in to this swanky resto.

Photobucket

How funny that we all mentioned how we don't have Black & White nor Sepia pictures when we were young...and so I'm remaking this colored photo of us. Background was kinda cheesy, more like a studio pics for school. Let this be our "Gossip Academy"

Fashion Ave

Last night I was watching the movie Devil Wears Prada and during the scene where Andy had to run off and get skirts from Calvin Klein they did a quick glance on Seventh Ave and Fashion Ave...
Aaaahhh! just remembering the time I have taken a quick shot on that street makes me really miss NY. gosh golly !

I had to blurrr my face out, for I was a mess early in the morning, but hey I was wearing my Prada glasses...ain't that a coincidence..."that's all"

like a Virgin

I just need to do a quick post about this airline...they're AWESOME!

Ever since my bro was braggin' about how his flight with Virgin America was super cool! he's been a frequent flyer for the airline. So, I finally witnessed what he's been braggin' about when I flew in to NYC and I couldn't agree more, he's right they're cool, well the plane itself is very comfy with the leather seats and personal T.V. my fave ;) and it has a remote control too and it also serves as a controller for the video games. Another cool feature is that you can chat with people who might not be on the same aisle with you thru the T.V. for free! There's also a WIFI in the plane, but there's a fee of $12.95, but with so much features on your t.v. screen and with such a short flight, I didn't mind not having WIFI.

The lighting made me feel as if I was in a lounge...Up in the air Lounge!
FYI: the lighting changes from day time to night time..coolio ;)

Photobucket

Another thing...you can swipe your credit card underneath the t.v. screen to make orders or shop e.g. snack, drinks (they have a good variety of drinks from teas, coffee, wine & hard liquor etc)...and they deliver asap style!

It's so funny that when I first saw this sign outside of the streets in Soho, I thought It says Philippines, at that time I had to look hard to see if I was really reading it right...sorry my glasses were not present at that time.

I just recently found out what it says, well hello *ding-dong* hehehe it's a designer's name Philip Lim. The funny thing is that I have been loving his designs for quite some time now and not realizing that when I stood outside of his store in New York that it was one of his shops...I didn't really know that those clothes I have been admiring were designed by him, never paid a visit to his site nor ever looked at what his logo was...sad! ;(

As a matter of fact, when I was deciding what I should wear for my 25th birthday, I really fell in love with the dress that Lauren Conrad wore for The Hills season four finale. So then my goal was to find something similar and of course sequined out! Again, what she wore that night was a dress from Philip Lim...gorgeous!

My version is from Arden B.

Here's some of his works that I find so amazingly beautiful and so stylish!

What A Buy

what makes my day are good buys

It's been a while since i've visited the Gap store and for those who knows how I shop, the only time I buy something at the Gap is when I'm at the premiums' *wink ;)

Deal for the day was a plain boyfriend tee v-neck for $3.97 (yellow) However, the second tee was three dollars more, I'm guessing because of the color, it's usually the case or if it's new in stock. I love how it has that over washed look, sunkissed wash per Gap. The cute little pocket definitely reminded me of my old shirts in junior high. Ohh...and the loose fitting is a must, so I got a medium...a must just cause tight fitting makes one body look like a suman.
DEF: suman: sweet sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves [filipino snack]

UNION STREET FESTIVAL

SoHo in Disguise!
I know that ever since i got back from my trip, New York is absolutely a non stop saying...
"new york this and new york that."
i'm in love!

Anyway, I went to Union Street [UNION STREET FESTIVAL]today in SF it's in the Marina District, which defines the savvy resto, boutiques and more of each kinds. Our plan was to visit mother Heather at work to look at some shades and reading glasses. Heading out there today was very hectic for they have closed the street for a an annual festival, which by the way was a last minute notification that there was going to be one today. The street was filled with bunch of stands that was grillin', cooking, serving and selling unique pieces of many kinds. Booze was permitted and there were some crazy folks walking around with a beer bong and some were taking shots of Ketel wrapped in a brown paper bag *ghetto-fabulous--hmmm..in the Marina. LOL!

Overall what a beautiful day to spend a saturday afternoon!

Why did I mention SoHo?
It definitely reminded me of the streets in SoHo, just being with the crowd and the busy-ness of the street and so it's in Disguise cause in reality Im in SF ;(

Cage

Guilty feet have got no rhythm...

so this pair of "cage studded booties" was the cause of our last minute shopping conflict. for some reason, he manages to squeeze in a unnecessary comment about the shoe. With that being said, I decided to return the shoe as i stand in front of the cashier. As soon as I got out of the store, "ignore mode" has been turned ON...knowing that he would feel guilty, he ran back to the store and purchase the shoe.

Later on, when everything seemed to cool down, he mentioned that i tricked him so that he pays for the shoes! what an ass!!! lol...hey it was not my intention, but the fact that he even came up with that excuse what an a-hole!

i felt guilty afterwards, so i thank him ;)!
